2024-25 Little Mustangs (Grades K-2)

We are a program which provides opportunities for children in the South Western School District to play basketball year round. We focus on teaching fundamentals to new players and pushing experienced players to improve their skill level even further. Our goals include teaching self-confidence, sportsmanship and cooperation to boys and girls in a healthy, team-oriented environment.

Players in K-2nd Grade
Practices will be on a select night during the week from 6:15-7:15 @ West Manheim starting in December - Tentative 10 Sessions

ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE FIRST DATE OF EVALUATIONS. POSITIVELY NO WALK-INS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

GIRLS

Registration is Open for all Girls in Grades 3-6
Evaluation Dates to be announced later

BOYS

Registration is OPEN for all Boys in Grades 3-6
Evaluation Dates to be announced later
NEW: Your Players Evaluation Date will be scheduled by the Organization. It will NOT be open date evaluations as in the past.
PLEASE READ THE EVALUATION PROCESS ACCEPTANCE WAIVER IN FULL PRIOR TO ACCEPTING!
Grades 7 & 8 MUST tryout for the school team

NEW FOR 2024/25 SEASON - If you wish to NOT have your player take part in evaluations and simply be placed on a Rec Team please simply sign up for the Rec League! The Rec League Games will take place at Gettysburg Area School District each week. Practices WILL be held at South Western Elementary Schools

WHO

Juniors (Any boy or girl entering 5th-6th grade)
Rinks (Any boy or girl entering 3rd-4th grade)
Senior Boys (Any boys entering 7th-8th grade)
Registration and Evaluations are completed through the School Team
Parents that are untruthful on grade level are subject to have their player removed from the program

ALL PLAYERS MUST LIVE IN THE SOUTH WESTERN SCHOOL DISTRICT

WHAT

Travel League Grades 3-8
Teams Travel York and Adams Counties
Competitive Environment
Games Played Across York and Adams Counties
As many as 18 games could potentially be played from Dec - March
Playing Time is NOT equal
Must Attend Evaluations on Specified Day(s) - TBD

Rec League Grades 3-6 have teams
Teams Play games on Sunday's at Gettysburg Area School District
Semi-Competitive Environment
Less Travel
Typically a 10 game season
Playing Time is Equal
No Evaluations Necessary

UNIFORM

If you currently do not have a uniform or your uniform does not fit
Game Jersey (Reversible) - $40.00
Game Shorts (Reversible) - $35.00
Practice Jersey if not already owned - $20.00
If your previous years uniform fits there is no uniform fee and you can reuse it

WHEN

Evaluations to be held in September
Must attend if Registered for Travel League
All players will make a team
Practices start first week of November
Practices are Minimum 2 times per week from 6-7:30 (3rd-4th grade) and 7:30-9:00 (5th-8th grade) Mon-Fri.
